Oct 7, 2015 Madeline Weinrib and Tom Roush host Adria De Haume' Book Party "Cross Purpose"

Designer Madeline Weinrib joined forces with renowned environmentalist, Tom Roush MD, at her loft last Wednesday Oct 7th, to host a wonderful celebration for artist Adria de Haume in honor of her breath-taking new edition, “Cross Purpose” published by Asssouline. More than 155 guests attended. The highlight of the evening was a heart-felt toast given by Adria’s husband, George Roush MD. As he stood on a tiny bench supported by his son, Will Roush and friend, Ben Levine, he explained how his wife had synthesized many different art forms through a single vehicle, the Cross, creating with this book a fresh take on the “unified theory of everything”. His tribute explained her generosity of soul, caring for others, and spiritual inspiration to him. He included recitation of Adria’s favorite quote (also in her book) from Matthew 6:22. George’s loving tribute to his wife brought tears to the eyes of many women and applause from the entire group!
