African Wildlife Foundation took place Wednesday, October 8th, 2014 at The Explorers Club, New York City
African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) and the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) co-hosted a cocktail reception to discuss impact investing in Africa through AWF’s investment subsidiary, African Wildlife Capital. AWF, a CGI member, launched African Wildlife Capital (AWC) in 2013 as a vehicle for investing in tourism, agriculture, and energy enterprises in key conservation landscapes throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Patrick Bergin, AWF’s chief executive officer, discussed how AWC offers an innovative means for accelerating economic and conservation gains. Guests included AWF Trustees Veronica Varekova, Payson Coleman and Krista Krieger. Other attendees included Felicia Taylor, Nina Griscom, Phil Geier, Chase Coleman, Mpule Kwalegobe, Bonnie Evans and Laura Nicklas.
African Wildlife Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that works together with the people of Africa to ensure the continent’s wildlife and wild lands will endure forever. We are the largest conservation non-profit organization that is focused exclusively on Africa ( http://www.awf.org)
