On Thursday, July 30, 2015 the Thirteenth Annual "Women of Valor" Awards Tea to benefit St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters took place. Hosted by Macy's, the event was held at the Waldorf Astoria and honored a distinguished group of women who are leaders in business and when giving back to support their communities. All funds raised benefit St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters, a nonprofit organization that helps to feed over 10,000 poor families throughout the New York City area.
The 2015 honorees included: Dr. Ruth Westheimer, (Therapist, Media Personality and Author) Honorary Chair and Keynote Speaker; Linda Neely, (Knoll) Guest of Honor; Lauren Bush Lauren (FEED Projects) Macy's Community Star Award; Debra D. Bell (JP Morgan Chase & Co) Humanitarian Award; Dana Robbins Schneider (JLL) Humanitarian Award; Kirsten M. Beck (Avison Young) Clarisa Award; Denise Burke (Adobe) Clarisa Award and Louise Matthews (Bacardi) Clarisa Award. Margaret Grioli Vice President - Corporate Communications and Employee Giving at Macy's was the Tea Chair for 2015.
Special guests in attendance included: Ernie Anastos, FOX 5 NY News Anchor Margo and John Catsimatidis of Red Apple Group, Tony LoBianco and new bride Alyse and Pierre Lehu, Dr. Ruth's publicist and agent.
