At the annual National Down Syndrome Society Buddy Walk we raise funds for advocacy of the 38% of Americans whose lives have been touched by someone with Down syndrome. This event focuses on celebrating and promoting the abilities of the Down syndrome community. After the walk in Central Park, lunch was served at GiGi’s Playhouse NYC by Harlem BBQ. Great finish for a fun-filled day!

The Autism Speaks event is centered in South Seaport - walkers advocate and take action for the diverse needs of the autism community. Their efforts generate funds that fuel innovative research discoveries and make connections to the critical life-long supports and services vital to this community. As the walk ends we found our way back to the Industry-Kitchen Restaurant for lunch. They seem to have a special place in their hearts for us.
