It was an encouraging sign to see that the bitter cold didn't keep people away from The METRO Show and its next door neighbor the Editions | Artists Book Fair, which opened at the Metropolitan Pavilion and The Altman Building, respectively, on Wednesday to a packed and exuberant crowd. The METRO Show is the new kid on the block, full of energy and a great mix of periods and styles from every collecting discipline. Only in its second year, this gem of a show is a welcome addition to the Winter landscape of art fairs. New this year is the V&M Design Atelier Pop- Up Lounge which showcases furniture designed by Christopher Coleman, tucked behind Zigzag, an architectural architectural tour de force designed by Igor Siddiqui and Deborah Schneiderman,mof ISSSStudio+deSc.
