A gloriously sunny day brought out the best in New Yorkers who love to stroll and visit their favorite galleries. I was fortunate enough to be invited to photograph a MEET THE ARTIST –Michael Levin event at the Rotella Gallery in Soho.
Music trio Mo’ Beta Blues entertained guests as they chatted with landscape artist photographer Michael Levin. Based in Vancouver, Canada, much of Michel’s work features spectacular landscapes around the world. His black and white photographs of everyday places and common subjects are transformed into something much more when he views them through his lens...absolutely stunning! And his recent introduction of muted color now adds a new dimension to his images. Michael says, “I always think that being a good photographer is less about knowing rules than knowing yourself. What I make of a subject comes from inside of me.”
