Sept 20, 2017 French Heritage Young Friends Circle meet at the Cire Trudon Nolita
On Wednesday, September 20th, French Heritage Society (FHS) invited its Young Friends Circle to discover Cire Trudon’s lavish SoHo Boutique. Founded in 1643, on the threshold of the reign of Louis XIV, Cire Trudon is the oldest candlemaker in the world still active today. The Maison survived the French Revolution and is world-renowned for their scented candles which draw inspiration from the themes of royalty, religion, and revolution. Attendees were delighted to gain insight into the Maison’s unparalleled savoir-faire and preview the Fall/Winter 2017 collection. Guests also enjoyed mingling during a Champagne Taittinger reception complimented by delicious Aux Merveilleux de Fred pastries. Noteworthy guests included Young Friends Circle Co-Chairs Elizabeth Hartnett, Maureen Nash, Victoire de Vaugelas and Natalie Williamson as well as FHS’ NY Chapter Co-Chair, Odile de Schiétère-Longchampt and Executive Director, Jennifer Herlein. A key player in the French-American community, FHS is an American 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the French architectural and cultural legacy both in France and the United States, with emphasis on raising funds for preservation, restoration and education.
