April 13, 2019 - 80th Anniversary Black and White Gala, Metropolitan Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
Join us in celebration of the history and legacy of the mighty Metropolitan Chapter. This year’s Gala event will take place at 583 PARK AVE near 63rd Street. Our theme for the evening is “80 Years: Our History, Our Legacy.”
The Gala is the major fundraising event for the Metropolitan Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. The proceeds from this event will benefit our Boost NYC Scholarship and will allow us to fulfill our mission of providing support to college-bound scholars in our community. In addition, a portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Jack and Jill of America Foundation (JJOAF) in support of its outreach around education and health and wellness. JJOAF aims to support STEM skill development, literacy and college preparation, along with supporting initiatives that aim to strengthen the family as the Foundation has a vision to "transform the lives of African-American communities, one child at a time.”
We are happy to honor the following amazing leaders: Michael Beal, Legacy Award; Loida Lewis, Anniversary Award and Christine Govan, Lifetime Recognition Award. Our emcees for the evening are Tony Award Winner, Renee Elise Goldsberry and Emmy Award Winner, Maurice DuBois.
